Tips to Help Your Vehicle Pass the Smog Test

Warm Up Your Engine First

Drive your vehicle for at least 15–20 minutes before arriving. A fully warmed-up engine produces fewer emissions and gives more accurate OBD-II readiness readings.

Make Sure Your Check-Engine Light Is Off

An illuminated check-engine light is an automatic failure. If your light is on, visit us first — we can assess the situation before the formal smog test.

Recent Oil Change Helps

Fresh, clean oil means your engine burns more cleanly during testing. Combine your oil change with your smog test for convenience and savings.

Use Our Pre-Test Inspection

If you're unsure whether your vehicle will pass, ask for a pre-test inspection. Our technicians can flag potential issues before the official test is run.
